Damn Boobalan

So it's back to the drudgeries of army life tomorrow after my extended mc ends. It's approximately 9 and a half more months to ORD. Say it with me guys.

WE CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT.

Sometimes I feel bad but I just can't help and laugh at the recent enlistees. ORD-ing in 2009. 2-0-0-9. HO HO HO.

(Pseudo) Haiku

I like you,
You like me?
You pretty,
Shake your booty.

A little something I came up with for someone when I was still quite doped up post wisdom tooth op. How I long for being high again.

NDP 07

Warning this is post is gonna be so filled with pictures that you'll hate guys in red from now on. These are pics that I took from our command post on the 9th of August. For those of you who knows about my weekly involvement in the NDP, now you get a chance to see where I work from. Enjoy!

The calm before the storm

Breakfast

This is why I can never catch the fireworks from where I'm working from

The wheel thingy

The firemen were nice enough to let me near their Red Rhino

The lives and times of sai kang warriors

Azli and the other coolies

AND NOW WE'RE BACK

Once we saw this we knew lunch would suck

Packing for dinner

39 SCE helpers doing what they do best

I Scream "Ice-Cream"!

The transport people are a very animated bunch

Wah Wah Wah. The only partially pretty one amongst the throngs of aunties and underaged girls at the show village. I actually didn't know she was in the background. Serious. Stop sniggering I'm not lying.

INTERVAL

BACK.

Major Low giving the hairdryer treatment to Aloy

Brother Chua - Pondering life's many questions

An ecstatic Shaun Yeoh

Mr Yap at his most charming

LTC Koa Boon Teck and his homeboys

The transport guys without their annoying regular officers! Yes guys, I don't like Master Ng too!

I'd like to this chance to thank those who've made my Saturdays somewhat enjoyable and eventful. This blog post is also dedicated to 2WO Chua (see pic below) who roped us into this and made us do almost nothing every week and has made us realised that he's only there for the free food and drinks and the goodie bags. Thanks for making us carry all those cartons and boxes of bread rolls, H2O's, ice creams (yes you heard it right), NDP Goodie Bags (all the aunties are gonna freak out if they know this) and packs of cold KFC lunch boxes. Thanks for not sharing it with us too.

Army never pay you enough is it? Must steal all those crap. Good luck to your family who has to keep all that food. I hope you can open up your own minimart now seeing that you have enough supplies to last you til the next NDP opens at Kallang again. Thanks and cheers!

Save it for the morning after

It's been awhile since I've ran. Running's good for many things because you forget about the world. It's just you, the sound of your breath and the air in your lungs keeping you moving. Sometimes a little escapism isn't a bad thing.

Crash

When you've got no license, please don't drive. Because the sound of the bumper and fog lights being crushed to bits will be the worst sound you'll ever hear in your life. The second worst sound would be the sound of your voice, cursing and swearing. But of course, you'll be too freaked out to realise that you're cursing so loudly that the whole multi-storey carpark can hear you.
